in less than a week, the provinces of Canada that have provincial nominee streams and have been actively issued 1,400 Invitation to Apply to the Express Entry candidates for Canadian Permanent Residency. The provinces involved in this week’s impressive amount of invitations came from Ontario and Nova Scotia. Those candidates with the provincial nomination will automatically receive an additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System score and will fasten their application for permanent residency.
In Ontario, the draw for invitation was held through Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Steams; and Nova Scotia’s Labour Market Priorities Stream was held for the province of Nova Scotia. Both were the so-called ‘passive’ nominee streams that will look up in the pool of Express Entry with profiles, particularly in a specific category.
In Ontario’s stream, there were 1072 invitations given to the candidates with work experience in 10 specific occupations listed below:
• NOC 0114: Other administrative services managers
• NOC 0601: Corporate Sales Managers
• NOC 1122: Professional occupations in business management consulting
• NOC 0124: Advertising, marketing, and public relations managers
• NOC 0621: Retail and wholesale trade managers
• NOC 1111: Financial auditors and accountants
• NOC 3012: Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
• NOC 0111: Financial managers
• NOC 1114: Other financial officers
• NOC 0651: Managers in customer and personal services, n.e.c
While in Nova Scotia, there were 312 Invitations given to those applicants with eligible work experience as Early Childhood Educators and Assistants.
Ontario drew candidates with Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System Scores ranging from 439 to 469 while Nova Scotia did have any minimum CRS requirement for the latest draw.
Since May, the seven participating provinces of Canada – Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward, and Saskatchewan has been sending invitations to more than 2,000 candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The target of Canada for Provincial Nominee Program is to increase the number of admissions for this year compared to last year; from 55,000 to 61,000 this year. And for the next three years, Canada would be receiving as many as 213,000 applications from provincial nominee programs for Canadian permanent residency.
